Canine in Kelowna is in dire want of foster residence

Paws It Forward, a dog rescue company in Kelowna, is urgently looking for a foster home for Abigail.

Abigail is a 1 to 2 year old terrier who was previously adopted but has unfortunately been brought back to her new home after some problems.

Paws It Forward is looking for a home that can cope with these issues. So if you have children, other pets, or are intimidated at the thought of a “land shark” tumbling on your lower extremities, keep scrolling!

If you’re a friendly, confident person with an adult and human-only home, and can handle a strong-willed puppy, this spirited girl might be for you.

“Abigail not only values a ‘teeth-first’ approach to life, she also enjoys walking in the woods with no other living things around,” says the rescue group. “She loves chasing after her ball and watching the world go by through a window. When Abigail is suuuuuper, she tolerates short cuddles. “

Abigail came to help from northern Manitoba, where she had a tough life – hence her responsiveness.

“There were no comfortable dog beds or gentle hands to pet, regular meals or warm houses,” Paws told It Forward. “Abigail basically never had a chance to relax and feel safe. She had to be in eternal survival mode and she had to fight for what was hers. “

The rescue explained that while some dogs may be able to settle in earlier than others, it often takes more than three months for rescue dogs to feel really comfortable in a home setting and to have their personalities shine.

“We have high hopes for Abigail’s future, but it will take a lot of patience and love to bring her to a place of trust and inner peace,” they added.

If you think you are the right person to give Abigail the chance she deserves, you can apply online here.
