Cow on highway

A Jersey cow was seen walking along the southbound shoulder of Highway 97 near Ellison Lake Tuesday morning.
Drivers had to moo-ve over on Highway 97 late Tuesday morning between Lake Country and Kelowna International Airport.
A Jersey cow was walking along the side of the highway.
A local woman posted a picture to the Lake Country BC one community Facebook Page. It shows the cow ambling along in the slush on the shoulder of the southbound lanes of the highway near Ellison Lake.
“Someone’s jersey cow is walking on the highway between Lake country and the airport. If anyone knows of its parents, maybe please let them know that their cow is running away from home,” she wrote.
Luckily, the bovine wanderer is no longer on the loose. A Castanet reader shared a picture of a woman leading the cow away.

The cow was rounded up not long after the first reports of it wandering along the highway.
