Energy restored for West Kelowna residents in Summerland

(UPDATE: September 15th at 7:04 pm) – According to the BC Hydro failure list, the power supply to all affected properties was restored earlier today.

(UPDATE: September 15 at 1:40 p.m.) – Around 600 BC Hydro customers in the Okanagan were supplied with electricity.

The two larger outages remain active, however, with one still affecting 2,664 customers and the other 1,102 customers.

(Original story: September 15 at 12:45 p.m.) – Two power outages left more than 4,300 BC Hydro customers in the Okanagan without power this afternoon.

The themes range from West Kelowna to Summerland.

<p dir=The outage in West Kelowna began at 10:39 am, while the outage from the Connector (Hwy 97C) to Summerland began at noon.

BC Hydro cites fire as the cause of both, but further details are not currently known.
