Kelowna man visits a brand new automobile and trailer tent after successful the lottery $ 500,000
David Dube was on his way home from a business trip to Grand Forks when he decided to stop and buy a lottery ticket for the Lotto Max drawing on January 19th.
He stopped at the Rock Creek General Store to get his ticket and went to a Kelowna grocery store a few days later to check it out.
When Dube checked the tickets, he said he could say his girlfriend was “upset” in the car, but her feeling quickly changed when he sent her the good news.
His ticket had matched all four numbers in the Extra Prize Draw, which earned the Kelowna man a $ 500,000 prize.
“In the end I had to call her to say, ‘Come on in’, she couldn’t believe it!” Dube remembered.
The two decided to put their groceries away later and drove straight to a local pub to celebrate their luck.
“It’s surreal, it’s shocking,” said Dube of his win. “I honestly hoped to win the lottery, but I never thought it would happen. The hope and the dream are now true. “
With his new inflow of money, Dube plans to buy a new vehicle and tent trailer, something he’s always wanted.
He also wants to give part of the profit to his family.
