Kelowna Mounties imagine pellet gun was used to shoot out automobile window

This afternoon, Kelowna RCMP responded to reports of a car window being shot out in the Lower Mission.

Around 4:30 pm, multiple officers blocked off roads in the area of Lakeshore Road following the incident.

Police conducted foot patrols in the neighborhood as the initial investigation unfolded.

Based on physical evidence and witness information, Mounties believe a pellet gun was used to shoot out the window.

“Although I’m relieved there were no injuries, this was still a frightening incident for the family involved,” said Staff Sergeant Brendan Dolan, the Kelowna Detachment Watch Commander.

Roads have since re-opened but police are asking anyone with information or video evidence to come forward.

Individuals are asked to contact the Kelowna RCMP at 250-762-3300 and reference the file 2022-67781.
