One other sunny day within the 30s for Kelowna

The first full day of summer brought a lot of sunshine and heat on Monday, and we have more of it today.

And get used to it, because this heat wave won’t be going anywhere anytime soon!

“The high pressure will make the sun shine with daily highs in the lower 30s,” said Wesla English, NowMedia meteorologist.

“The signs suggest the heat will last at least until this weekend, with a near record heat on Saturday.”

Environment Canada is demanding that the Central Okanagan’s UV index hit 11 today, which is considered “extreme”.

Be sure to put on sunscreen when you spend time outdoors and avoid the sun whenever possible between 11am and 4pm, the hottest part of the day.

Have a fantastic Tuesday Kelowna, drink lots of water out there!
