The Kelowna RCMP and Salvation Army are partnering again this year to help ensure every child has a present this Christmas.

The ‘Stuff the Cruiser Toy Drive’ will be held Saturday, Nov. 27 from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m.

Volunteers from the Salvation Army and RCMP will be at Toys “R” Us on Harvey and the north parking lot of the RCMP detachment on Richter Street, collecting new, unwrapped toys for children up to 12 years of age.

During its inaugural drive last year, 710 toys and $1,227 was collected for Salvation Army Christmas programs.

As was the case in 2020, social distancing will be practiced, and bins will be set up for donations.

“This year, we have been presented with the challenges of the pandemic, but we still need your help to bring smiles to children’s faces on Christmas morning,” said RCMP Officer in Charge, Supt. Kara Triance.
