A new group of schools in the Kelowna area has been added to the COVID-19 exposure list.

According to the Central Okanagan Public Schools, three institutions had community members tested positive for the virus. It was not mentioned whether the victims were employees or students.

Schools affected included George Elliot Secondary, Glenrosa Middle School and Ecole Kelowna Secondary.

<p>Those infected are now working with local health teams and self-isolating. Contact tracing has also begun. </p>
<p>“The safety and well-being of students, families and employees remains our top priority.  Central Okanagan Public Schools will continue to implement the strict health and safety protocols and procedures that are in place so that students and staff can continue to attend school as safely as possible, ”School District 23 wrote. </p>
